JP HOE CITY OF SONG CONCERT
The Winnipeg Arts Council is proud to present a collaboration with Winnipeg-based singer songwriter JP Hoe. A birthday party of sorts, Hoe invites the shy and the bold to come and share their voices.
It'a all part of City of Song: a celebration of Winnipeg's 150's birthday taking place throughout 2024. City of Song showcases the best of Winnipeg's talents and creates opportunities for Winnipeggers to engage in the power of singing with friends and neighbours across the city.
JP Hoe invites you to an evening under the fairytale-esque dome of the Union Station rotunda. Featuring a three-piece string ensemble, the concert will be split into three parts, gradually inviting more and more audience members to sing along throughout the program. The night will finish with a set of universally loved songs - lyrics provided. The planned finale will either draw a "Wow!" or "Whoa?!" from attendees, but thats the risk of inserting humans into a unique living art piece.
Presented by the Winnipeg Arts Council, VIA Rail and The Forks.
